Learning on TAP
Learning on TAP (TAP for short) is an innovative WHO blended learning resource for primary health care and other community-level workers. It is an open-access platform hosting online modular courses on a range of health topics, including assistive technology, sensory functions (eyes and ears), vision and hearing screening for school-age children, and primary eye care. The courses are designed for online learning to be followed by in person learning and supervised practice in the workplace. The aim is to increase access to primary and community level health services for people who need them. The assistive technology course includes modules across six functioning areas – vision, hearing, cognition, communication, self-care and mobility – and modules teach how to provide assistive products through four simple steps. There are a range of supporting documents and resources to support country implementation also available to download from the website.
